  1. Open Road, an Album by Donovan. Released in on Epic (catalog no. E ; Vinyl LP). Genres: Singer/Songwriter, Folk Rock, Folk Pop.
  2. The Open Road album was the first recording to be named as “Celtic Rock”, a term dubbed by Donovan himself to refer the style of the group, which had been brewing in the previous albums, Barabajagal and The Hurdy Gurdy Man.
  3. Donovan takes another surprising turn in the anti catholic Poke at the Pope (along with Clara Clairvoyant) which actually both work. 7. Donovan (Open Road) Riki Tiki Tavi. Donovan & Open Road People Used To. Open Road (Donovan album), a album by Donovan. Open Road (Johnny Cash album). Open Road (Gary Barlow album), a album by Gary Barlow. Open Road" (Gary Barlow song), the fourth and final single released in the UK from Gary Barlow's debut solo album, Open Road.
  8. Ironically, this was the album that first made me take Donovan seriously. Ironic both because it was one of his later albums, and also because of its sharply barbed wit, especially in songs like Riki Tiki Tavi and Poke at the Pope - a gem of an atheist anthem that would probably cause outcry, certainly stern words from cardinals, if released in today's more religiously restrictive times/5(60).
